Strategic Approach

We engage with the Lupus Foundation of America in increasing public awareness and understanding of lupus and its health consequences as a prerequisite for finding a cure.

Key Strategies

  • Collaborate with the Lupus Foundation of America to increase public awareness and understanding of lupus and its health consequences and to improve early diagnosis and treatment of the disease.

  • Engage in public awareness campaigns, media relations, online and social marketing, and aggressive outreach efforts to corporate and community partners.

Support the Lupus Foundation’s KNOW LUPUS Awareness Campaign to expand its reach through in-person programs, social media platforms, collaborative web pages and links, and by engaging celebrities.

Strategic Approach

  • Meeting basic human needs is fundamental to our mission and a prerequisite for building a high quality of life.

  • Over the coming decade, basic and safety‐net services are likely to lose government funding. Acknowledging this trend, we will play a role in filling these gaps in basic needs and human services such as childhood hunger, poverty‐stricken neighborhoods, relatively high rate of homelessness, lack of affordable housing options, and illiteracy in underserved communities.

  • This approach leverages our expertise, current activities, the interests of our strategic partners, and network of relationships in areas such as health, hunger and homelessness.

Key Strategies

  • Engage in public awareness campaigns, media relations, online and social marketing, and aggressive outreach efforts to corporate and community partners.

  • Collaborate with and continue our work with St Mary’s Kids of Children’s Hospital of New York, The LA Mission, and Feeding America.

  • Work at both systemic and frontline levels to address basic human needs of the most vulnerable and support programs and organizations that provide assistance to those who suffer from or are at risk of violence, abuse, or neglect.
